You're reviewing three therapy-session transcripts from the same patient, recorded across consecutive weeks. Somewhere in these sessions a plain factual detail contradicts something said in an earlier one. Your job is to spot (a) which session holds the contradicting statement and (b) what that contradiction most likely reveals. This is a puzzle, told with care — the patient is entirely invented and the mismatch is a factual one, not a mood or tone reading.
The scene
A man in his mid-thirties who signed up for a local half-marathon after his running club friend dared him to, and is quietly working through a widening rift with his younger brother.
