The Sketchbook

4 min

You're reviewing three therapy-session transcripts from the same patient, recorded across consecutive weeks. Somewhere in them, a plain factual detail contradicts something stated in an earlier session. Your job is to identify (a) which session holds the contradicting statement, and (b) what that contradiction most likely reveals — choosing from the options below. This is a puzzle, told with care. The patient is entirely invented; the mismatch you're looking for is factual, not a reading of her mood or tone. Solve it from the transcripts alone.

The scene

A woman in her early thirties reconnecting with drawing after years away from it, navigating a complicated family visit in the same period.
