On the night of 1–2 August 2026, someone entered Halcyon City Tram Depot's vehicle shed and sprayed large aerosol murals across the left flank of Tram 7, a 1924 heritage tram awaiting restoration for the city centenary. Depot manager Irene Colp discovered the damage at 06:15 the following morning, estimating repair costs at over £4,000. Security logs show the side gate was propped open between 23:00 and 02:30. The prosecution contends that Marco Sent, who had lawful access to the depot as a casual labourer, used that access to enter after his shift and paint the tram. The jury must decide whether the evidence establishes Sent's guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
