Cracked at the Copper Kiln
≈ 9 min
Between the close of the Clay Collective's Wednesday evening session at 21:30 and the first arrival of Thursday morning members at 08:15, the electric kiln in the cooperative's east-wing kiln room was sabotaged during an active overnight glaze firing. The firing was for a single member's commission — a set of twelve porcelain bowls intended for a client presentation the following Friday. The bowls were destroyed. Investigators are asked to profile the offender's behaviour, not to name any individual.
The scene
Mervale Touring Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, a converted Victorian mill building on Mervale Wharf whose east wing is leased to the Mervale Clay Collective potters' cooperative
