The Saltwick Amateur Players were due to open their autumn production on the evening of Sunday 27 September 2026, performing on a temporary stage erected at the seaward end of the pier arcade. At 10:15 that morning, production manager Delia Osei discovered that the flying rig — a system of ropes, pulleys, and counterweights used to raise and lower the main curtain — had been interfered with overnight.
