Fired and Forsaken at Heron Peak
≈ 9 min
Heron Peak Hill-Station Observatory shares its campus with the Caldara Ridge Potters' Cooperative, which operates a kiln house containing two electric kilns. Members schedule firings via a paper log in the kiln house. On the night of Tuesday 8 September 2026, Kiln One was mid-way through a thirteen-hour glaze firing loaded with work belonging to cooperative member Nadia Voss — her entire entry for the Caldara Ridge Craft Prize, to be judged on Friday. Sometime between 22:00 and 02:00 the kiln was deliberately sabotaged, causing a hard abort of the firing cycle. Your task is to profile the offender's behaviour, not to name anyone.
