Loose Pins at the Fernery Stage

6 min

Two hours before the curtain rises on the Dunmore Botany Players' summer production, props coordinator Ines Mbeki noticed the overhead lighting bar above centre stage was hanging at an angle. On closer inspection, two of the four mounting bolts securing the bar's bracket to the iron roof truss had been removed entirely, and the remaining two had been backed off several turns. No performance has taken place yet; no one was injured. University security has asked you to profile whoever tampered with the rig.
