The Harbourside Departure
≈ 4 min
During a routine overnight inspection at Pelwick Ferry Terminal, dock officer Maren Quill found that a sealed bonded-goods store in the basement had been exited from inside — its hasp forced from within, a ventilation grate dislodged, and a heavy storage crate shifted out of position. A junior porter named Fen Osgood had been locked inside the store the previous evening as a disciplinary measure pending a formal hearing the following morning. Quill needs to establish the exact sequence in which Osgood used three distinct methods — filing a restraining bar, repositioning a shipping crate, and borrowing a wax impression of a key — to engineer his escape before dawn. Place the six events in the order they occurred.
