The fibreglass outrigger canoe designated KCC-3 — Keldwick Canoe Club's sole racing craft — was found dead in the water during Saturday's time trial, its foot-pedal rudder assembly jammed solid by a plug of fast-setting epoxy resin injected into the pivot housing. Club captain Nora Blaine has asked investigators to reconstruct the exact sequence of events between KCC-3's last verified sound inspection and the moment the sabotage was discovered.
