The canning line at Brindavar Fruit Cooperative suffered a serious incident: a hot-syrup feed pipe running above the filling conveyor burst, flooding the floor with sticky syrup and damaging the labelling machinery downstream. Maintenance supervisor Deepa Nair suspects the burst was not accidental — evidence suggests someone diverted the pressure-relief valve before the pipe gave way, turning a manageable pressure spike into a catastrophic failure. Investigator Chandra Pillai has been asked to reconstruct the exact sequence of events on the line floor that day, working out which came first: the diversion of the relief valve, the pipe burst, or the two repair attempts made before and after the flooding.
