The Grease Pit Inspection
≈ 4 min
Inspector Vera Osei has been called to Halwick Tram Depot after a valuable set of calibrated torque gauges — serial-tagged HMD-11 through HMD-14 — went missing from the pit-side tool locker during a weekend closure. A depot worker, Callum Pryce, was found locked inside the tool store early Sunday morning and claims he was there on legitimate overtime. The depot's one-way perimeter gate seals automatically at nightfall and cannot be opened from outside until the duty officer unlocks it each morning — meaning anyone who entered the depot grounds before gate-lock is trapped until morning. Inspector Osei must determine the precise order in which six key events unfolded to test whether Pryce's account is possible.
