The Shattered Meteorite Slice

4 min

The observatory's prize exhibit — a polished slice of the Wexford Hollow iron meteorite, mounted on a felt-lined cradle — was found smashed on the floor after the 8 PM closing. Beside the shards lay a wrench from volunteer usher Tomas Reyes's tool belt, and the director wants him dismissed. Reyes swears he never went near the hall tonight. Someone wanted him blamed.
