A Guest for Table Twelve
≈ 4 min
During tonight's harvest tasting menu, the lights failed twice — and in the second blackout a chill sweep, a rattling of glassware, and a woman's whispered name convinced half the room that Table Twelve was haunted by 'the Grey Diner', a decades-old restaurant legend. When candles were lit, a place setting laid itself untouched and a 1970s brooch sat gleaming on the empty plate. No one was hurt, but the tasting collapsed into panic and the review-night critics fled. Someone staged the whole apparition; the question is who, and why.
