Dead Air at Studio Nine
≈ 6 min
At 6:15 AM, producer Celeste Morrow arrived at Velour Sound Studios to prep for a morning mix session and discovered that the master session file for up-and-coming artist Jada Renn's debut EP — six months of work, unbackedup since a server migration glitch — had been exported and deleted from the studio's workstation overnight. The USB drive used for the export is missing. Someone who had access to Studio Nine during the overnight session walked out with Jada's music.
Subject
Jada Renn
A 24-year-old singer-songwriter whose debut EP was three weeks from release. The stolen session file contains six finished tracks and cannot be reconstructed without months of re-recording.
