On the evening of July 2nd, curator Edmund Voss was found unconscious and robbed of the master key to the museum's vault, which houses the newly acquired Ptolemaic gold medallion. By morning, the medallion had vanished from the vault. Security footage for the critical window was deleted, and the museum was locked from the inside.
