The Billing Sheet of the Bellecliffe Grand

The Bellecliffe Grand Hotel is required to remit a Coastal Amenity Levy of one shilling per occupied room-night to the Eastbourne Borough Council each month. Head Cashier Horace Tindall has submitted the September 1925 guest register and billing sheet, from which the Council calculates the levy due. An inspector from the Borough Treasurer's Office has noticed that Tindall's reported occupancy figures may not match the hotel's own internal records. The inspector must identify which line of the billing sheet misrepresents the true occupancy.
